Synopsis

Lost in France is an erotic contemporary romance novel set in Paris, the city of Love and Romance.

Warning: 18+++

Lost. The one thing I’ve wanted above everything else was taken from me in one night. My dreams were shattered forever because of one irreversible mistake.
There was nothing I could do about it.
I’d lost everything.
So I did what I always do. I ran.
To another continent.
To France.
To start over.
God knows, I needed a new beginning; a new job, a new life.
To find what I truly wanted…needed…craved. A man of my own.

My French man found me. He was perfect.
Or…was he. Alain du Bois had a secret. One that could destroy us before we even had a chance to find love.

And why was my new boss, Maxwell Grant, the arrogant and demanding CEO of Grant Global, fixated on me?

Would I find myself in France?
Would I get what I desperately wanted?
Or was I jumping from one hotter than hell fire into another?

A note from Jani:
This book contains LOTS of sizzling sex. I make no apologies for that.
However, if you are sensitive to copious overt sex scenes and it's not your thing, I respect that too - hence this warning.
For those that enjoy sensuous steamy sexcapades, Lost in France will not disappoint.

The end will leave you breathless, screaming for book 2. Guaranteed.
Book 2 in The Firebird Trilogy - NO REGRETS - will be released end of January 2014.

Lost In France is Part 1 of 3 in the exciting new Firebird Series.

My Review

How would you feel about yourself and life itself, if after loving someone for half your life you were to break up with him?  I know exactly how I would feel... lost.  Would I be able to love again, immediately after the breakup?  That is the issue compelling this story.  Can you trust the attraction, love, lust that you feel for someone soon after such a break-up?  How do you move on and trust again.
Our heroine, Rebecca, is going through a period of self-doubt.  Her dream is to have someone love her completely, someone to call her own who responds to her, nurtures and protects her.   Julian has made a commitment to his wife and Rebecca wants him to honor it.  She could not live with herself if she were to become the other woman and destroy of what remains of that marriage.  At the same time, this need to be loved leaves her vulnerable.  When an attractive man like Alain comes on to her and makes her feel she is his world, Rebecca finds it irresistible and is hopeful she can begin to have a new life where her dream might come true.
It does become a little difficult to suspend disbelief when the timeline in the story is just a matter of hours, days and short weeks.  Breaking up, finding someone to love, making a commitment to this new love, losing this love, and having feelings for yet another man, occurring during such a short period of time, is really asking a bit too much.  Regardless of this one thing, this is a compelling and erotic story that will have you hooked by the end of book #1.  The characters are well defined, while maintaining the aura of mystery and secrets yet to be discovered.
I really enjoyed reading this book.  The 4 Stars rating is well deserved.  I am enthusiastically waiting for the release of book #2 in January 2014 called No Regrets. This is a story with some very sexy alpha males that is worth reading.

About the Author

Jani is a voracious reader and would spend her last dollar on a book - always fascinated that for the mere price of a book, she can escape her world for a while and see through someone else's eyes.

Besides reading, her favorite 'thing' is traveling - she has traveled the world, learning about the ways people live and has come to the realization that no matter where we live, we all ultimately want the same things. Her hobby - Scrapbooking - keeps her up till way after midnight and her usual subjects are her family and her travels.

Ever since she can remember, Jani wanted to write stories about people, about their lives and loves. Relationships and Happiness - arguably the most difficult things to master in life and yet exactly what everyone ultimately desires (in her humble opinion).
