The much-anticipated sequel to the bestselling new adult romance Forever Innocent.

When Gavin saves Corabelle from her plunge into the frigid waters of the Pacific, he knows her recovery from pneumonia is only the beginning of their journey. They share a difficult history — a teen pregnancy, a seven-day-old baby who died of a heart condition, and his decision four years ago to leave Corabelle behind and not look back.

But there are no secrets between them now. As Gavin and Corabelle build a new future together, they learn to trust each other again, falling back on that love they have shared since they were children.

But their past has one last shocking surprise, a revelation that will shake their tender bond and pierce the heart of Corabelle, who has just begun to believe that she truly is Gavin’s only forever love.

Forever Loved is the heart-wrenching conclusion to Corabelle and Gavin's passionate story.

My Review

Forever Loved is a gut-wrenching finish to the highly powerful and emotional Forever Innocent.

You know that feeling where you can’t breathe because your heart is stuck in your throat? Well that is exactly how I felt for the better part of this book. I literally felt as if I was punched in the gut with the events that occurred. They are definitely unlike anything I thought would happen and guaranteed to leave you on the verge of tears. I reread my review for Forever Innocent and at the end of it I stated that I really hoped that Corabelle and Gavin would get a kick ass HEA after all they have been through. Well that doesn’t exactly happen the way you would expect.

Corabelle has lost so much. She lost Finn, her son who passed away at only seven days old. She lost the love of her life when he walked out on the day of Finn’s funeral four years ago. And then she had to start over at a new school without her scholarships. She was barely hanging on, and after finding out about the lengths Gavin has gone through to not have any more children, it all just got to be too much for her. How much more can she take?

This book starts out after Gavin rescues her form the ocean. She is suffering both physically and mentally. But she has Gavin…and as long as she has Gavin she feels she will be ok. But what happens when she finds out Gavin’s true connection with Rosa and that she wasn’t just a prostitute to Gavin? She was there for him during the most difficult time of his life…as a friend…and then eventually more. And that’s not including the fact that he might have fathered a son with her just a few weeks after their son’s funeral.. How would she be able to deal with that? If she were to keep Gavin in her life, and it turned out he did have a son, she would have to spend the rest of her life looking at a boy who would remind her so much of her own son…a son who is dead. Also knowing the man she loves would probably never be able to give her another child has her left feeling empty. Honestly, my heart broke for her.

Corabelle is determined to not let some prostitute sucker Gavin in to thinking he has fathered a child. She’s a hooker from a poor town and probably just looking to trap him….right? That’s the hope she is holding onto, but when she sees Rosa for the first time she is stopped dead in her tracks. She is nothing like she has pictured. She is simple and pretty but not overdone. She is not dressed as she would think a hooker would be dressed. But that’s not all she sees. It’s what she sees in Rosa’s eyes that has her breath caught and heart stopping. She sees love. She sees the true love that Rosa feels for Gavin when she looks at him.

Gavin loves Corabelle more than life itself but he cares for Rosa. She was there for him and no matter what he wants to help her. She has a son…a son she is claiming is his. He knows that’s not possible since he has taken extreme measures never to have children again. He is worried sick about what Corabelle is going to do and say when he tells her. Rosa is determined to have Gavin in her life and Gavin feels that he owes Rosa and can’t push her away but he doesn’t want to hurt Corabelle either.

As I said before, this is a highly emotional story that you will not be able to put down. Beyond all the drama is a story of overcoming grief, taking responsibility, and learning to heal. Loss is very difficult to overcome, especially when it’s the loss of your child. It can either bring people together or tear them apart. We’d all like to think we would stick by those who we love in the times they need it the most, but that may not always be possible. Sometimes you need to put your own personal needs above others if you want to survive. As heartbreaking as this story is, it really is a beautiful story of staying true to yourself and doing what’s best for yourself no matter what.

I have to hand it to Deanna Roy for evoking such powerful and true emotions in this series. Being a mother myself, who has gone through a very similar situation twice in my life, I found this to be a very difficult series to read but I am glad I did. Several times thought this book I wanted to give up and just not read anymore but I just couldn’t. Whether you have gone thru a similar situation or not this is definitely a must read series. I would recommend it to anyone from my older teenage niece to my Grandmother. Add it to you TBR today.
