Synopsis

Sexy, tatted up, underwear model Marcus Grayson is every girl’s dream—or more likely worst nightmare. He’s a player, a self-proclaimed bachelor for life, and he’s got no problem living up to his man-whore status. But when his older sister’s friend comes back from the past, he may just have the chance to turn some of his adolescent fantasies into reality.

Tessa Bradley is a self-sufficient, take-no-bull, single mother—well, now she is. Finally rid of her abusive, alcoholic ex, she’s making a new life for herself and catching up with old friends; the ones she was forced to break ties with because of her controlling husband. When she runs into Marcus, her friend Riley’s once-adorable turned smoking-hot little brother, she has no idea how he’s about to rock her world.

You wanted me then, now you can have me. Just promise you’ll Keep Me.

My Review

I, Marcs Grayson, am a man-whore. How did I know this?

“Marcus M. Grayson, you’re a man-whore!”

See what I mean?

Oh holy mother of man-whores. Marcus is a full blown and self-admitted one night stand king. He is twenty four years old and has never spent the night with a girl more than once. He thinks he is living the dream; life can’t get better than it is right now. He doesn’t understand why people like his best friend Beck would want to settle down and have a committed relationship.

He was nothing but a geeky teenager but at thirteen… seeing his sister prance her eighteen year old smokin’ hot friends around inspired him to become more. And by more I mean a hot ass, tatted up, muscle baring underwear model. He is a God to most women. One look, one touch, they are done for.

There’s a problem though. His sister Riley is sick of it. She is sick of him sleeping with her friends and having to deal with the fall out of it. She can’t even count the number of friends she has lost, and she is done. She loves her brother more than anything but she will not lose anymore friends just so he can gain one night of pleasure.

Tessa is a beautiful yet feisty single mother. She has just come out of an extremely abusive relationship and her sole goal is to be a self-sufficient mother to her little boy Luca. He is her world and after all she has suffered all she wants is to give him a good and happy life. As much as it pains her, she has to go back to work to provide that life for him.

What she doesn't expect is to run into her old best friend’s younger brother Marcus. And oh holy hell, he is not just “little Marcus Grayson” anymore, he’s a model and a sexy one at that.

Both Marcus and Tessa feel the attraction and can’t stay away from each other. One taste of Tessa’s sweet lips has words like “more” and “forever” running through his head. He is trapped in this whirlwind of emotion and doesn't know how to react. Can he give up his lifestyle for a new kind of life…a life he feels like only Tessa would be able to offer him? Or will he mess up and revert back to his old ways just to leave Tessa hurting? That’s the last thing he wants to do after all she has been through, but he doesn’t have a choice. He can’t stay away from her.

In that moment, I knew I’d never get enough. Tessa was the perfect combination of sweet-as-sugar and sexy-as-fuck. The delectable mixture, along with the flawless package it came in, made it seem like she was tailor-made for me.

Tessa is in deep. Marcus brings out a side of her that she never knew she had. But she just got out of one abusive relationship and although she knows Marcus would never physically hurt her, she doesn’t think she can trust him with her heart. Her reacquainted best friend Riley is not about to let Tessa get hurt again. She is dead set against Marcus and Tessa having anything more than a mild friendship. She warns Tessa all about Marcus and his man-whore ways and his inability to actually have true feelings for someone.

Tessa is torn between following her heart and following what her mind is telling her. She hears everything that Riley is saying and she knows she has to stay away. It’s not just her after all; she has to consider what getting involved with someone like Marcus will do to Luca. Even if Marcus is ready to be in a “relationship” that is far from meaning he is ready to step in as a daddy figure and she is best to remember that.

“We can make love any time, like all the other times before. Tonight—tonight I need to claim this body. To make you mine from the inside out.”

Marcus is so determined to make Tessa his. He realizes that Tessa comes as a package deal but…fatherhood? Just the first thought of that has his face paling and body frozen. But he needs to explore these feelings. They are too intense to just ignore. He and Tessa are completely explosive when they are together and cause some steamy scenes that will leave you with a flush on your cheeks and a smile on your face.

“I want you naked. Beneath me. So I can show you what I’ve fantasized about doing to you since I was thirteen fucking years old.”

Will Marcus be able to convince her to take a chance and just feel? Will one tiny crack in their relationship lead to him reverting back to his ways and Tessa left worse off than she was before? Then what happens when her husband (well ex-husband) is dead set on getting her back? It’s inevitable someone is going end up hurt or worse.

This book has made me a fan of Faith Andrews. It is the first book I have read from her. The ending of this book was phenomenal. This book will take you on an adventure…starting fun and flirty and ended with tears…both happy and sad.
