Synopsis

When Mia Corelli returns to Alabama for a summer of fun with her childhood best friend, Tessa, there's only one thing keeping her on edge. One person that she’d do anything to avoid.

Benjamin Kelly. World’s biggest dickhead.

Mia hates him with a fury and has no desire to ever see him again. When she decides to start her summer off with a bang and finally give away her v-card, she unknowingly hands it over to the one guy that excelled at making her life miserable, learning a valuable lesson in the process.

Always get the name of the guy you’re going home with.

Ben can’t get the girl he spent one night with out of his head. When she leaves him the next morning, he thinks he’ll never see her again. Until he sees her lounging by the pool with his sister.

Mia is determined to hate Ben, even though she can’t forget him.

Ben is determined to prove he’s not the same guy he used to be.

What happens when the one person you wish never existed becomes the one person you can’t imagine being without?

My Review

Where do I start?? I loved this book and the complexity of the characters. I loved how Miss.Daniels was able to bring all the characters to life and show that not everything is so cut and dry in life. She was able to have me laughing till I cried with all the bantering and inner thoughts of these characters. And some of the one liners I will be chuckling over them for moths if not years to come, but in the same turn she was able to bring their heart aches to the surfaces and have me choking up and crying right along with them.
Mia Correlli is an awesome leading lady and I loved her spunk and personality. When Mia was younger she was a little heavy, wore thick glasses and had some skin issues, this made her the butt of all jokes with her best friends brother who was relentless in teasing and tormenting her. The teasing used to drive Mia to cry herself to sleep and starve herself to try and lose weight. Then when she moved away with her family she came into her own and became a beautiful young women. With her mother very ill she never got the chance to go back and visit her best friend in Alabama or really date in general, so when the opportunity to go visit for two months she decides to go but first she must lose her v-card so she can party it up all summer with her bestie.

She makes the journey to Alabama but stops at a bar to find the right guy for a one night stand and man oh mighty she can’t believe that a tall, tattooed and sexy as sin man wants to take her home. He was everything that she could hope for in a one night stand and he rocks her world.

“I could seriously climb you like an oak tree.” “Oh yeah? I think I’d like to see that.” His playful response makes me laugh and I’m quickly being pulled through the crowd and out the door.”

The next day she parts ways with him and goes to her friend’s house thinking she will never see him again but well life has a funny way of throwing you some curve balls because when her best friends brother, the boy that was the reason for her nightmares shows up and it’s the guy from the bar who rocked her world….

“Benjamin Kelly. World’s biggest dickhead.”

Ben was an asshole as a young man but he has defiantly changed over the years and man oh mighty the things he says and does will make you melt on the spot. He has become a wonderful friend, brother and a father. And add in that he’s a man in uniform you may as well call it done because he could not become any more appealing..lol When his “angle” from his one night stand runs off he can’t believe it but when he finds out it’s his sisters best friend Mia he is stunned stupid. He can’t believe that the girl from his past is the one he can’t forget but he will not let her run from him again. Only problem is she still sees him as the asshat he was as a teenager.

“Fine. Whatever. But just know that this nice act doesn’t wipe out all the shitty things you’ve done to me” “that shit is still very raw. And no amount of bag carrying is going to make me forget.”

But that that doesn’t stop him from trying to win her over. And let me say the journey to winning her over had me swooning all over him. Their journey together is one that I think we can all relate to; it’s one of learning to forgive and open your heart and to remember that your actions and words can have a long term effect on those around us. I loved every moment of this book and look forward to reading the next books in this series. The other characters that I met so far Tessa (Ben’ sister) and Luke (Ben’s partner) have me counting down the days till I get to see their stories. Because with the heat that Ben and Mia bring I think that my kindle may just explode with Tessa’s sassy mouth and Luke’s sexiness.

So cheers to you Miss.Daniels and you have a brand new fan in me. Keep the sweet and spiciness coming because you my dear know how to tap into my brain and hook line and sinker my heart.

“It really should come with some sort of warning label.” “Mmm and what would it say? Multiple orgasms await you if you put this between your legs?”
