day—unbeknownst to his poor grandmother.
Ben is intimidating yet quiet to all that know
him on the dark side of his life. No one crosses him without paying a price.
When Maya strolls onto the scene, she gives him a good run for his money and
breaks through his tough exterior almost immediately. Even though sparks fly,
Maya knows she can’t fall for someone she’s trying to bring down.
Unfortunately, her heart doesn’t listen and she begins to forget the real
reason she is undercover.

My Review
You know when you find one of those authors that you buy
everything they write and you keep waiting for the day that they will write
something that you just don’t like…..well this is not that day for Kristi
Webster!! Holy crap every time I read one of her books I swear that I couldn’t
love her anymore but she just keeps making me more and more of a fan. Her latest
book Love and Law is amazing, it has two very strong characters that could hold
their own by themselves but are absolutely explosive together!! I love the fact
that the leading female is not a wilting flower but a tough badass that knows
what she wants and when she wants it. And well the leading male he melts my
heart and my panties..lol so here we go let me bring you into Kristis’s latest
world Love and Law….
We meet Maya as a nine year old girl when her world gets
turned upside down right before her eyes and starts her path for justice and
revenge in motion. 17 years later we catch up for her as a hotshot rookie
detective, who is known for her take no prisoner, barging in guns blazing
personality. She has her partner and best friend Miguel by her side but his feelings
for her are more than friends and partner. The only problem is Maya just
doesn’t see him that way. When the drug world busts open on the streets on
Detroit Maya is sent undercover to become a drug dealer for one of the biggest
drug producers. This world brings her face to face with uber sexy second in
command of the biggest drug producers in the city Benjamin Cartwright aka Pac
because of his uncanny resemblance to Tupac.
"What are we doin Ben?" I drag my hand up to her hair and stroke some strands that have fallen in her face away. Using my thumb, I wipe at her wet cheek. "We're being us. Ben and Maya."
Ben is one hot alpha, holy crap he is a smooth operator. He
also is living a double life, because of life’s circumstances he was brought
into the drug world but also carries on his father’s passion of woodworking. He
lives with his granny, who by the way her prayers before meals will have you in
laughing till you cry. When Ben finds Maya on the street he recruits her for
more than just a drug mule because he has an instant need to know her in every
way possible. The only problem is he can tell that Maya is hiding a lot from
him but he never expects to actually fall in love with her and let alone fall
in love with a cop.
"I've never been one to do drugs, Maya, but you're my fucking addiction. I want you all the time. I think of you nonstop."
Together they fall hard for each other but with the secrets
between them but the way too real feelings it becomes a race against their two
worlds. These two are holy crap melt your kindle scree hot together and you
can’t help but cheer them on and hope that against all odds they will come out
together.
I really can’t say enough about this book and about Kristi
Webster. This book brings you into the dark side of the world but yet the
relationships I this book bring a real smile to your face. The heartache is
deep but the love for each other is beautiful. Cheers to you Kristi I can’t
wait till the next journey you take us on!!

About the Author
I’m a thirty-two-year-old self-proclaimed book
nerd. Married for nearly eleven years, my husband and I enjoy spending time
with our two lovely children. Writing is a newly acquired fun hobby for me. In
the past, I’ve enjoyed the role as a reader. However, recently, I learned that
I absolutely love taking on the creative role as the writer. Something about
determining how the story will play out intrigues me to no end. My husband
claims that it’s because I like to control things—in a way, he’s right!
Most days, you can find me firmly planted in
front of my computer. It’s my life. If the world ever loses power, I’d be one
of the first to die—of boredom! But I guess as long as I have books and a
light, I might just survive.
Looking forward, you can expect to see two more
novels in the Breaking the Rules Series. I’m nearly finished with the third.
Also, I have a standalone novel that will be released soon as well.
This writing experience has been a blast, and
I’ve met some really fabulous people along the way. I hope my readers enjoy
