 Synopsis
Deputy United States Marshal Mitch Knox apprehends fugitives for a living. His calm, cool, collected attitude and devastatingly handsome good looks earn him a well-deserved bad boy reputation, both in the field and out. While away on an assignment, he blows off some steam at a notorious Dallas nightclub. Solving the case that has plagued him for months takes a sudden backseat to finding out all there is to know about the gorgeous, shy blond sitting alone at the bar.

Texas State Trooper Cody Turner is moving up the ranks, well on his way to his dream of being a Texas Ranger. While on a two-week mandatory vacation, he plans to relax and help out on his family’s farm. Mitch is the last distraction Cody needs, but the tatted up temptation that walks into the bar and steals his baseball cap is too hard to ignore.

As Mitch’s case gains nationwide attention, how will he convince the sexy state trooper that giving him a chance won’t jeopardize his life’s plan...especially when the evil he’s tracking brings the hate directly to his doorstep, threatening more than just their careers.

My Review

Sexy men-check
Hot sex-check
Sweet Romance-check
Suspense-check

Holy crap does Ms.Alexander know how to write a book. I hate to admit it but this was the first book of hers that I have read but it will defiantly not be my last!! This was such a well-balanced book, it everything in the perfect amount. The mystery and suspense was well planned out and the romance between Cody and Mitch was off the chart. I have seriously never read such a hot scene where the two people weren’t even in the same state! I loved the writing style; it gave us a glimpse into every aspect as it was happening from both points of view. The drama/suspense was front and centre and didn’t feel like an extra thrown into a romance novel. I really can’t say enough about this book except for that I’m counting down the days, hours and minutes until the next one in the series.

So here we meet Mitch who is Deputy Marshal and openly gay, he has been tracking a string of hate crimes that hit him close to home. One of the crimes was committed against one of his best friends. The only problem is that he can’t get the higher ups to take him seriously because the cases seem so random. So he continues to do other cases and that leads him to Dallas on assignment. While there he meets up with two of his friends and hits up a local hot spot. That is when he sees a man that takes his breath away sitting at by himself at the bar. That man is Cody. Mitch refuses to take no for an answer and just when things are getting good he is called to DC because another hate crime has been committed, this one though gets the attention of the hirer ups.

This gives him the lead way to track and solve this case. But the only problem is he can’t get Cody off his mind. Cody is a state trooper but has just got a promotion to the Mounted Patrol. That was one of the reasons he was out, he figured he could celebrate. What he wasn’t expecting was to meet Mitch. He was just as smitten by Mitch. The only thing was he couldn’t see how this would work and wasn’t sure he really wanted to be booty call per say. But when Mitch calls him out of the blue after their hot as sin make out session, it leads to a really hot connection in more ways than one.
But with Mitch’s case picking up steam they have to steal moments together and it looks like their lives and careers will get in the way more than they think. But where there is a will there is a way and man oh mighty these two are hot.

This read will have you begging for an A/C unit to be blaring on you and have you falling head over heels in love with them as a couple. Their love for each other is incredible to watch grow and is not an insta love but a lust to love story. I loved the dynamic between all the characters in this book, and yes most of them are gay as well.

But with a murder on the loose that’s bent on targeting gay men it is not all fun and games. The problem is that this man or group of people are slipping through every crack possible. It’s a race against time and no new leads are coming in.

This is a must read, like really, really a must read. I loved every moment and I don’t want to give too much away because it will take away from your enjoyment of reading it. So I’m going to just say if you’re looking a great romantic suspense novel with lots of twists that will having you going WTF all the way to the end and 2 uber hot man in uniform that will melt your heart(along with other things…lol) then pick this book up you will not be disappointed!

MeetTheAuthor
Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It's always a surprise to see what's coming next!

I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!

Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about Kindle.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.
