My marriage seemed perfect from the outside looking in.
People envied me. They wanted my life, wanted to be me.
Mrs Alejandra Gambino.
Wife of Dino Gambino. Daughter of Eduardo Castillo.
Respected. Loved. Mob royalty.
They had no idea of the horrors that lurked behind closed doors.
They didn't know I was at the lowest point a person could reach.
Enter Julius Carter.
Aloof, handsome, blue-eyed Julius Carter.
He saved me.
I screwed him over.
Now everybody was after me. My life was forfeit.
It was only a matter of time. I was a dead woman walking.
The question was, who would get to me first?
Dirty is the long awaited follow up to Raw and I have to be honest and say I'm glad that I waited to read the Raw until right before Dirty was released because the ending to book 1 was brutal. Though if I'm being honest, the ending to Dirty while not technically a cliffhanger does make me really really anxious to read the next book.
Dirty follows a character introduced in Raw and while it's primarily about a different hero and heroine, the story needs to be read after Raw to get the full impact of all the plot lines that are developed along the way. Julius and Alejandra's story is intertwined with the continuation on Twitch (cue: hurry up book 3) and a third storyline involving Ling (cue: angry face because holy crap she's insane). Dirty starts out with Alejandra and her life and horrible marriage. When Julius is introduced, Alejandra's life takes a drastic turn leaving me at the edge of my seat. Add in Twitch and his journey to get back home and Ling's backstory and deviousness and there was a lot happening. That's not to say I didn't like this story, I did. I just felt like there was a lot happening and since it happened so quickly, it was hard to fall in love with each character. Still I couldn't put this book down and I'm drooling for more from this series.
